From counter-only ticketing to an online revenue engine.

Network Travels is the largest private bus fleet operator in Assam and North East India.

It is also the region’s first Government-recognised tour operator, connecting important destinations by road since 1992.

Building a complete online booking platform for North East India's largest private fleet

Tickets were booked at counters or over the phone, creating frequent double-bookings and forcing customers to spend time and money travelling to ticket counters.

Roadside pickups caused revenue to bypass authorized agents and official ticket sales.

Agent commissions were calculated manually and paid by cheque, while the company had no data showing which routes were profitable.

Spark Eighteen built Network Travels’ online booking platform with a passenger Android app, counter web interface, and admin panel, increasing bus occupancy by 30–40% across the fleet.

The Challenge

Network Travels needed to replace manual booking processes, reduce revenue leakage, and gain reliable demand data for route planning and business decisions.

Manual Booking Chaos

Phone bookings double-sold seats; counter trips cost customers time and money.

Revenue Leakage

Roadside pickups cut out authorized agents and official ticket sales.

No Route Intelligence

Profitable routes and demand patterns were invisible to the company.

The Solution

Spark Eighteen built the platform end to end.

We created an Android application for passengers with integrated payments, cancellations, and ticket downloads.

A login-tracked web interface was built for offline counters, along with an admin panel for reports, bus changes, discounts, and notifications.

An agent wallet credits commissions directly to bank accounts.

The team also trained users across remote North East locations to help them adopt the digital platform.

The Results

Bus occupancy increased by 30–40%, adding approximately ₹4.2 lakh in revenue per day.

Agent income increased by 25%, while administrative costs decreased by ₹80,000 per month.

Demand data also identified three new routes worth ₹11.25 lakh in monthly ticket sales.
